Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

We try to live our lives according to The Golden Rule. This straightforward yet powerful principle has guided us in all aspects of our lives, including the way we operate our business, inspiring us to act with kindness, empathy, and integrity in every interaction.

Donating One Tree Planted

One of our favorite bed time stories to read to our kids when they were little was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, which reminds us not to take without giving in return. Guided by this lesson, we ensure our commitment to sustainability by planting one tree for every wooden product we sell.

Give Your Tree a Second Life!

Central Maryland residents, instead of letting your felled tree go to waste, let us transform it into beautiful, handcrafted creations! We'll collect the wood and, in return, gift you a personalized engraved sign or engraved cutting board (depending on wood type) made from your very own tree. Choose from live edge or smooth sign, or an engraved cutting board (14”x12”x1”) (no juice groove) made from your tree. And of course, let us know if you have a larger custom project in mind – we're happy to provide a quote for the woodworking labor, saving you the cost of materials. Give your tree a legacy – contact us.

Environmentally Conscientious

We have always cared about the environment, and set out to make sure that our products, from wood to oils to packaging, are in keeping with being kind to our environment. We were determined that we would make our board butter from tung oil and orange peel oil, differentiating us from many companies that use mineral oil, which is petroleum based. Our gift wrapping (brown butcher paper), packaging material (honeycomb packing paper) and our shipping container (cardboard box) are all recyclable. We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality product, all while being an environmentally responsible company.

Supporting Local Small Businesses

As a small, family-owned business ourselves, we understand the importance of supporting local businesses. That's why we hand-select our wood from a local company in Annapolis and source our beeswax for the board butter from a family-run apiary in Easton, Maryland. We take pride in being a part of this wonderful community and are committed to contributing to its growth and success.
